Infrared Thermographic Inspection of
electro-mechanical equipment is one of the most thorough
forms of predictive maintenance.
Infrared radiation is similar to visible
light.
Scanning the equipment insures location of
any potential problems that may exist in the equipment.
Inspection is done during normal operation of
the equipment. The inspector has no physical contact with
the system or any part of the system.
Using an infrared camera, the thermographer/inspector
measures and records temperature variations.
The thermographer must be thorough and
efficient in both the inspection and response time.
